A report from Shawnee Hills came in with 6.3 inches of snowfall, with another reporting 5 inches from 2 miles west of Xenia. A spotter report from 3 miles south-southwest of Fairborn measured 4.5 inches of snow, while another spotter northeast of Cedarville measured 4 inches. The cooperative observer 5 miles south-southeast of Xenia also measured 4 inches of snow.

A strong low pressure system moving through the Ohio Valley produced widespread snowfall during the afternoon and evening hours of Saturday, December 13, associated with the passage of an Arctic air mass.
