Generally 6 to 12 inches of snow fell across the area with 12.1 inches of snow reported at Ouray.

Wider weather episode

A second upper level low pressure trough and cold front moved through the area on the heels of the previous one at the beginning of December, bringing moderate snowfall to the central and southern mountains of western Colorado and eastern Utah. As this trough moved through the Four Corners, light to moderate snow also fell across portions of the southwest Colorado valleys.
