Snow Squall. Homestake Pass DOT camera on I-90 showed a rapid reduction in visibility, to near-whiteout, with light snow accumulations on the highway.

Wider weather episode

A Pacific weather system moved across the region during the morning of 1/7. An associated cold front brought scattered to widespread snow showers to Southwest MT and supported the development of a snow squall along I-90 near Homestake Pass. This cold front also brought isolated gusty winds to Southwest MT.
