An off duty NWS employee reported pockets of blowing dust with <1/4 mile visibility near 2 SSW Colby.

A strong cold front moved through northwest Kansas on the evening of the 15th. Multiple wind gusts ranging from 58 mph - 63 mph were recorded. Multiple reports of blowing dust with less than 1/2 - 1/4 mile visibility reported. A wildfire was detected via satellite and confirmed with local emergency management.
