Temperatures bottoming out around zero during Friday morning, coupled with wind speeds in excess of 15 mph, produced wind chills of 15 to 25 below zero across most of southeast Michigan. Even slightly colder readings were noted across Oakland, Genesee, Saginaw, and Tuscola counties. The arctic airmass persisted into Saturday morning, with renewed wind chill drops to around 30 degrees below zero across Midland, Saginaw, Tuscola, Genesee, Livingston, and Washtenaw counties.
