The wider storm

Two waves of precipitation impacted the area March 2nd into March 3rd. The first wave moved through during the daylight hours of March 2nd bringing a coating to localized 2 inches of snow to parts of the state. The second wave of precipitation moved in during the overnight to morning of March 3rd bringing light freezing rain. Freezing rain accumulations of a light glaze to locally two tenths of an inch were observed.
