Snowfall amounts ranged from 10.8 to 16.0 inches. A Travel Warning was issued for the county due to the impacts of snow on road conditions.

Wider weather episode

A large-strong low pressure system produced heavy snow across central Indiana January 24th through January 25th. Over a foot of snow fell in most counties across south-central Indiana. Indianapolis broke the daily record snowfall total on January 25th with 9.1 inches. The heavy snow led to 29 Travel Warnings, 9 Travel Watches, and 1 Travel Advisory.

Indiana State Police in the Indianapolis district alone responded to 264 crashes (33 with injuries), 158 slide-offs, and 529 motorist assists for vehicles stuck in snow or broken down from Saturday afternoon on January 24th through Tuesday morning on January 27th. Any accidents responded to by local entities would have been in addition to this number.
