Event narrative

A 19-year-old man lost control of a pickup truck when temperatures dropped below freezing in the wake of rain showers that moved through. Icy road conditions developed on State Route 92 in Gibson Township, PA about a half-mile south of State Route 2071 and the truck slid into an embankment and struck several trees. The young man unfortunately passed away at the scene.

A 19-year-old man lost control of a pickup truck just after 6:00 AM EST when temperatures dropped below freezing in the wake of rain showers and a cold front that moved through. This resulted in icy road conditions developing on State Route 92 in Gibson Township, PA about a half-mile south of State Route 2071. The pickup truck slid into an embankment, striking several trees before rolling over. The young man was partially ejected from the vehicle and unfortunately passed away at the scene.
