Multiple reports of snowfall totals in excess of a foot across northwestern portions of Emmet county, where as much as 17 inches of snow were reported near Pellston.

Wider weather episode

Troughing crossing the region on the evening of the 1st into the 2nd resulted in southwest flow lake enhanced snowfall off Lake Michigan. Primary areas impacted were from Charlevoix up the coast to the Straits of Mackinac, and into parts of eastern Mackinac County near Cedarville, where as much as 10-15 inches or more of snow fell by the middle of the day on the 2nd.
