High Wind in Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains, Texas
High Wind March 10, 2026 · Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains, Texas
What the National Weather Service wrote
The West Texas Mesonet Station at Pine Springs measured high wind gusts (including a gust to 61 mph) and intermittent sustained winds greater than 40 mph during the time period.
The wider storm
An incoming trough interacted with mid-level moisture and allowed for a few showers and thunderstorms to develop west of a dryline. One such echo produced a downburst that yielded a 60mph wind gust at the Monahans AWOS. A Pac front moved in overnight, which caused high winds at Pine Springs and the Toyavale Mesonet stations as well.
