Clear skies and calm winds following a cold frontal passage allowed for locally dense fog to form over the Ohio/Mississippi confluence region of far Southern Illinois late evening on the 21st through the early AM hours of the 22nd. Northerly winds increasing to 4-7mph before dawn brought an end to fog conditions.
