A low pressure system brought a widespread light to moderate accumulation of snow to eastern New York on January 17, 2026. The highest snowfall totals occurred across portions of the eastern Catskills, mid-Hudson Valley, Taconics, Saratoga region and into the southern foothills of the Adirondacks with amounts of 3 to 6 inches common. This resulted in slippery travel conditions on area roadways.
