Winds gusted over 48 kt between 0600 and 1200 EST on 1/14 at the Harvey DOT sensor on M-28 along the lakeshore with the passage of a cold front. The peak gust was 53 kt at 0728 EST.

A clipper low passed north of Lake Superior bringing a strong cold front south across the lake. Storm force gusts occurred with the frontal passage.
