Snowfall varied considerably across the county with the highest totals found in the far southern portion of the county. A public report of 5.5 of snow was received from near Richardson, VA.

Wider weather episode

An upper low and subsequent coastal low pressure both brought snow to the region in late January of 2026. Heavy snow was focused across the southeast part of the state, especially near the North Carolina border.
