Breezy northwesterly winds behind a cold front resulted in gusts reaching up to around 40mph in far Southwestern Illinois and along the I-64 corridor during the midday to afternoon hours as high pressure moved towards the Midwest. A tree was blown down onto a vehicle north of Mount Carmel.
