Sleet began during the morning of the 24th. By the afternoon we got a report of 0.5 of sleet accumulation in Tow. By the morning of the 25th there were reports of 1 of sleet in Llano and Enchanted Rock State Park.

Wider weather episode

A deep upper-level low moved across northern Mexico bringing a strong cold front through South-Central Texas. This resulted in very cold air in the boundary layer with a layer of above freezing air aloft which produced sleet and freezing rain.
