Based on Red Willow, Hitchcock, and Thomas counties observing high wind gusts of atleast 58 MPH, Decatur county should have had these winds as well.

A second day of high winds occurred for Northwest Kansas. The high winds began after 9 AM MT and continued as late as 5:30 PM MT. The peak gust was 76 MPH reported at the Goodland airport. The combination of high winds and loose soil led to dust storm conditions.
