Observer estimated 10.7 inches of snow 1 mile North of Newman Lake. Other reports in the area ranged from 4 to 5.5 inches of snow for Deer Park and Usk (WAZ037).
Wider weather episode
A cold front pushed a band of heavy snow over Eastern Washington from the east slopes of the Cascades to far Eastern Washington and stalled over the Spokane area. It brought heavy snow amounts to Eastern Washington ranging from 4 to 11 inches. It caused a 3 hour traffic delay along I-90 at the Four Lakes area with two semis jackknifed.
