Observer reported 8 inches of snow 2 miles Northeast of Hayden Lake. Other reports from the area ranged 4 to 9 inches for Rathdrum, Post Falls, and Hayden.

Wider weather episode

A cold front pushed a band of heavy snow through the North Idaho Panhandle on late January 7. It brought widespread snowfall amounts ranging from 4 to 13 inches. Lookout Pass received 21 inches of new snow for the period January 6 through 8.
