The wider storm

During the late morning through early afternoon of the 11th, an occluded surface low drifted eastward from near Green Bay to northwestern Lower MI. This allowed the accompanying warm front to drift northeastward from northwest PA into southwestern NY, while the low's cold front swept eastward from northeastern IN to north-central OH. Along the warm front and within the warm sector, scattered multicell rain showers and thunderstorms persisted generally northeastward across NW PA during the late morning through early afternoon of the 11th, amidst moderate effective bulk shear and weak MUCAPE. A severe-caliber peak straight-line convective wind gust occurred at the Meadville Airport ASOS.

Began near Meadville Arpt (41.6258, -80.2123).
