What the National Weather Service wrote

Strips of green tin roof were peeled off an inn on Chapman Highway by severe thunderstorm wind gusts.

The wider storm

A cold front helped force a line of showers and weak thunderstorms that crossed from west to east across East Tennessee. Winds aloft were quite strong, and convective transport in the strongest cells helped bring those winds to the surface in the form of convective downdraft gusts, producing damage and high winds.

Began near South Knoxville (35.9400, -83.9100).
