A wind gust of 36 knots was measured at the National Ocean Service station at the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary Nancy Foster Center in association with a convective rain shower in advance of a cold front.
The wider storm
Convective showers evolved into a squall line in advance of a strong cold front passage through the Florida Keys coastal waters. Isolated gale-force wind gusts occurred in association with the convective showers.
