A west-northwest wind gust of 34 knots was measured at a WeatherFlow station at Carysfort Reef Light in association with a convective rain shower in advance of a cold front.

Wider weather episode

Convective showers evolved into a squall line in advance of a strong cold front passage through the Florida Keys coastal waters. Isolated gale-force wind gusts occurred in association with the convective showers.
