A wind gust of 45 knots was measured at a Citizen Weather Observing Program station at the south end of Cudjoe Bay in association with a line of convective showers along a cold front.
Wider weather episode
Convective showers evolved into a squall line in advance of a strong cold front passage through the Florida Keys coastal waters. Isolated gale-force wind gusts occurred in association with the convective showers.
