The weather station at the Annette Island Packing Company measured high winds during the afternoon of the 28th between 1235pm and 4pm AKST. The peak gusts of 68mph occurred at 1245 and 1250pm.

Wider weather episode

A 962mb low pressure system tracked northward into the central Gulf of Alaska through January 28th. An occluded front extending out to the east from the low brought a period of high winds across Annette Island.
