Whiteout conditions were reported, especially closer to the Lake Huron shoreline and in rural areas. Numerous vehicles were stranded due to whiteout conditions. Bitterly cold conditions also settled in as the heavy snow and strong winds arrived. Wind chill values fell to around 10 to 12 below zero.
