A wind gust of 37 knots (43 MPH) was measured by the ASOS at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy (KNAK) adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay.

A cold front was accompanied by a narrow band of heavier squalls embedded within a larger area of light to moderate stratiform rain. These squalls resulted in several gale-force wind gusts as the front crossed the waters.
