Winter Weather in Southwestern San Juan Mountains, Colorado
Winter Weather February 12, 2026 – February 14, 2026 · Southwestern San Juan Mountains, Colorado
What the National Weather Service wrote
Generally 5 to 10 inches of snow fell across the area with up to 11 inches at Black Mesa. Gusts stayed below 30 mph.
The wider storm
The low pressure over Southern California responsible for bringing up the abundant Atmospheric River moisture moved eastward across the Desert Southwest with the low center passing south of the Four Corners across northern New Mexico. This resulted in additional light to moderate snowfall accumulations across the southwest Colorado mountains with the Southwest San Juan Mountains receiving the higher amounts.
