ASOS station KCTB Cut Bank Airport measured a 70 mph wind gust. Montana mesonet site Mission Lake S and Montana mesonet site Ethridge N also measured a high wind gust.
The wider storm
West winds increased aloft, and mixed down to the surface. This allowed for isolated high winds to develop across North-Central MT.
