Photos showed damage to siding and roofs in DeKalb as well as trees blown down. Shingle and siding damage were also reported three miles north of DeKalb.

The wider storm

High winds developed across all of northern Illinois during the morning of March 13th with widespread wind gusts to 60 mph with some higher peak gusts. Numerous trees and power lines were blown down.
