The AWOS station located at the Anoka-Blaine County Airport observed approximately an hour of freezing rain. There was less than one tenth of ice accretion but did make the morning commute incredibly slippery.
The wider storm
A band of freezing rain moved across portions of central and southern MN. Despite ice accumulations accreting to less than a tenth of an inch, travel conditions were very slippery which results to numerous vehicle accidents and spin outs across the region.
