The AWOS station located at the Glenwood Municipal Airport observed a short period of freezing rain. There was less than one tenth of ice accretion but did make travel conditions incredibly slippery.
The wider storm
A band of freezing rain moved across portions of central and southern MN. Despite ice accumulations accreting to less than a tenth of an inch, travel conditions were very slippery which results to numerous vehicle accidents and spin outs across the region.
