Mesonet station GW0718 Joplin 25nnw measured an 80 mph wind gust. Multiple weather stations also reported high wind gusts on the 20th.
The wider storm
Persistent strong winds was in place across the region. A cold front passage combined with rain showers helped mixed these stronger winds to the surface mainly across the Rocky Mountain Front and Little Belts foothills.
