Duck Creek at Macksburg rose above a bankfull level of 13 feet on the night of March 11th, then continued to rise to a crest of 14.3 feet on the afternoon of the 12th. The creek then receded back below bankfull level that night. The wider storm
Showers and storms developed ahead of a cold front during the morning of March 11th, with subsequent rounds of scattered activity progressing across the area throughout the day. A few strong to severe storms downed trees in Perry and Morgan Counties during the early afternoon. More storms and moderate to heavy showers then overspread the area as an upper level disturbance steered the front through overnight. Between a half inch and one and a quarter inches of rain fell across southeast Ohio, with heavier precipitation prompting minor flooding of Duck Creek in Washington County and Sunday Creek in Athens County. Impacts primarily included flooding of a few roads, fields, and low-lying areas next to the creeks. Precipitation tapered off from west to east behind the front, coming to an end in southeast Ohio early in the morning of the 12th.
Began near Macksburg (39.6325, -81.4630).
