Heavy Snow in Clarendon, South Carolina

Heavy Snow February 1, 2026 · Clarendon, South Carolina

What the National Weather Service wrote

Multiple measurements across the county of between 2 and 3.5 inches of storm total snowfall with snow accumulating into February 1st. Highest measured amount in the county was 3.1 near Manning.

The wider storm

A unique snow setup for South Carolina continued into February 1st as a strong coastal low strengthening offshore, while a upper level disturbance shifted over our area. This provided sufficient synoptic and mesoscale lift to continue across portions of northern and eastern SC with unusually high snow to liquid ratios between 15-20 to 1 and highest amounts in the Pee Dee region of SC.
