The wider storm

An arctic cold front brought widespread lake effect snow and strong winds to the north-central U.P. Winds were strongest near the lakeshore where blizzard conditions were observed at times. Lake ice along the shorelines contributed to a long fetch for blowing snow, contributing to a multi-vehicle accident on M-28 in Alger County.
