Rip currents caused numerous water rescues along Monmouth County beaches on September 2nd. Nearly forty people were rescued from rip currents in Bradley Beach and Belmar. In Bradley Beach, nine people, including six children between the ages of ten and sixteen, were rescued near the LaRaine Avenue Beach. Six people were hospitalized, treated and released.
