A squall produced an estimated wind gust to 34 knots (39 MPH) near a Tempest station on Kim Drive adjacent to the tidal Choptank River.

A strong cold front resulted in a brief but widespread period of gale-force winds during the early to mid-morning hours across the Chesapeake Bay (north of Smith Point VA) and the tidal Potomac River.
