Several trees were downed by severe thunderstorm wind gusts, along with a couple of downed powerlines, and a damaged carport in the area of Disco Loop Road and Lake Court in Friendsville.

The wider storm

A seasonal strong cold front produced a line of thunderstorms. These storms produced isolated wind damage in portions of East Tennessee. As the front pushed into North Carolina, a sharp temperature drop yielded a changeover to snow at higher elevations in the Smokies, with a couple inches of snow accumulating.

Began near Disco (35.7700, -84.1400).
