The wider storm
A couple rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms developed across eastern Oklahoma on the 28th, as a warm front stretched across southeastern Oklahoma and an upper level disturbance approached from the west. The atmosphere across the area was moderately unstable with strong deep-layer wind shear, the combination of which supported the development of some supercell thunderstorms. A tornado, isolated damaging wind, and large hail up to two inches in diameter occurred with the strongest thunderstorms.
Began near Speer (34.1300, -95.4940).
