Winter Weather March 13, 2026 – March 14, 2026 · Northern Oneida, New York

What the National Weather Service wrote

Snow accumulated between 2 and 6 inches.

The wider storm

A clipper system moved across the Great Lakes on the morning of Friday the 13th. Warmer air ahead of the system brought a mix of rain and snow to the lower elevations of the Southern Tier, while higher elevations saw all snow. During the afternoon and evening, an associated cold front pushed through, bringing increased instability and the development of snow squalls. Upslope winds over the Tug Hill region further enhanced snowfall in that area. On the 14th, lake-effect snow developed, accompanied by gusty winds of 45 to 50 mph through the afternoon. In total, North Central New York received generally 2 to 6 inches of snow.
