The Georgia Forestry Commission reported that the Slover Road Wildfire, which is adjacent to U.S. Highway 84 to the southwest of Jesup, GA grew to 430 acres.

The wider storm

Extreme to exceptional drought conditions combined with dried available fuels resulted in wildfires developing across southeast Georgia. High dispersions and gusty winds assisted in the spreading of new wildfires towards the end of March.
