A tornado touched down near Irving Road and North 17th Ave where it blew over a farm auger and lofted debris nearly a half mile to the southwest. The tornado then hit Witt directly where it lofted a carport and damaged multiple roofs and trees in town. The tornado tracked along State Route 16 into Coalton where it nearly completely removed the roof of a mobile home. From there, it turned nearly due north and entered the northwest portion of Nokomis.
