Wind gusts of up to 37 knots (43 MPH) were measured by the Seneca Creek WeatherFlow sensor (XSNC) between 4:55 and 5:10 PM.

The wider storm

A strong cold front ignited a band of thunderstorms. The gust front rushed out ahead of the precipitation cores, but given the steep low-level lapse rates the gusts were able to maintain gale- to even storm-force as they crossed portions of the waters late in the afternoon.
