The wider storm
Elevated southerly winds continued to transport moisture across the Mid-South. Strong daytime heating yielded plentiful sunshine, driving instability values to around 1000 J/kg across north Mississippi. Though convective coverage remained sparse, an isolated cell managed to tap into the available instability just before sunset.
Began near Water Vly (34.1400, -89.6000).
