Quarter sized hail was reported by Broadcast Media and by a Meteorologist from Canada near the US 67 and US 90 Interchange. The time of occurrence is estimated by radar.
The wider storm
Similar to May 19th, thunderstorms were able to develop across west Texas thanks to pulses in the southwesterly flow aloft, a stationary front, and plentiful moisture east of the dryline. A few storms became severe, producing large hail. Flash flooding was also recorded in a few locations.
