What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

The first discernible damage from the tornado was observed on Pinehill Rd, to the east of the intersection with US Hwy 441 and immediately northwest of the intersection with Hartley Rd. Here, a metal road sign was bent and two pine trees were uprooted.

Large branches were also broken to the northeast along a treeline across a small field. As the tornado continued east, several pine trees were observed to be uprooted with two more snapped on both sides of Pinehill Rd. The tornado pushed over power poles and uprooted additional pine trees near the intersection of Pinehill Rd and Hart Ln. Continuing further east, the tornado crossed Campground Rd, where it uprooted another tree. Further damage from the tornado was observed near the intersection of GA Hwy 19 and Bw Cook Rd, where a tree was uprooted and large branches

were broken on another tree. The tornado lifted between Bw Cook Rd and I-16 without causing any additional damage.

The wider storm

A strong cold front and associated QLCS system moved through central Georgia in the early morning hours of the 12th. Storms within the line were able to produce a few spots of wind damage, however the main hazard ended up being the numerous short lived and brief spin-up tornados which occurred in central Georgia. The strongest tornado was an EF2 near Marshallville.

Began near Harlow (32.4819, -82.9358).
