The wider storm

At the surface, a low wobbled eastward from southern QC to northern ME. This allowed the trailing cold front to sweep generally southeastward across northern OH and northwest PA toward southern OH and southwestern PA. Along and ahead of the front, clusters of multicell thunderstorms persisted generally eastward across interior northern OH and generated isolated straight-line convective wind damage and marginally-severe hail in Marion, Morrow, and Holmes Counties. These thunderstorms occurred in a relatively-warm and moist sector comprised of weak to moderate MUCAPE and moderate effective bulk shear.

Began near Marion (40.5900, -83.1100).
