NOAA recorded where this tornado touched down but not where it lifted, so it appears as a point. Other tornadoes recorded nearby that day are shown faint.

What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

A storm chaser observed a tornado north-northwest of Harrold. No damage was reported and the location of the tornado is estimated.

The wider storm

An intensifying upper storm system instigated a period of severe thunderstorms across much of the WFO Norman Forecast area during the evening of the 1st. Storm development occurred both along a quasi-stationary boundary across northern Oklahoma and along an accelerating Pacific Front from far western Oklahoma into western-north Texas. A mix of supercells and a well-developed quasi-linear convective system (QLCS) yielded reports of large to very large hail and wind damage across portions of the area. A brief tornado was also documented in far eastern Wilbarger County in Texas.

Began near Harrold (34.1335, -99.0568).
