NOAA recorded where this tornado touched down but not where it lifted, so it appears as a point. Other tornadoes recorded nearby that day are shown faint.

What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

A National Weather Service survey determined that an EF0 tornado with winds up to 80mph briefly touched down north of Pumpkin Center. Damage included several outbuildings including a concrete block milk barn. Roofing tin from another barn was blown north, east and south of the barn. Trees were also uprooted.

The wider storm

As storm clusters crossed into Missouri from Kansas a line of storms spawned several embedded circulations. Tornado watches and warnings were triggered across multiple counties in Ozarks. High winds impacted local areas, causing thousands of power outages, particularly in Benton and Morgan counties, where multiple buildings sustained roof damage.

Began near Wood Hill (37.7800, -93.0600).
